After the forced closure on March, caused to the Covid pandemic situation, the archaeological park of Pompeii reopens its gates from today 26 of May. In order to give the possibility to visit safely the ruins there will be an experimental phase of two weeks where visitors, with a fixed undirectional route and respecting the social distancing, can visit some of the most important places and monuments of the ancient city (here you can see the opened buildings -> http://pompeiisites.org/en/house [...]

In order to counter and contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus, with the Decree of the 8th March 2020 - Art. 2, Letter D, the Archaeological Park of Pompeii will be temporarily closed, like all the museums and all the places of State culture, until the 3rd April. With that new urgent provision Italy closes, all over the peninsula, cinemas, theatre, museums, archeological sites, archives and libraries. We really hope to welcome you back soon to Pompeii!!  

2019 was a very important year in terms of culture for Italy and especially for the Campania Region.
